This lecture reviews the basics of visual field testing strategies, types of glaucomatous visual field patterns, and interpretation of the reports in order to gain a better understanding of what is a reliable field in glaucoma. Other methods and software such as SWAP, FDT, and GPA also will be presented.

Upon course completion, you will be able to:

1. To understand Useful Visual Field (VF) Test Selection and Strategy in Glaucoma using the Humphrey VFA

2. Gain understanding in Interpretation of the data including the printouts

3. To learn what is reliable and accurate testing

4. To learn the criteria for glaucomatous VF loss, recognizing glaucoma patterns and progression in order to arrest the disease and alter treatment
