This course will discuss all surgical procedures currently FDA approved for the treatment and management of glaucoma.  Lasers, Microinvasive, and Filtering surgeries will be thoroughly reviewed along with medical and pharmacologic post- operative management.

Upon course completion, you will be able to:

1. To provide a clearer understanding of glaucoma surgical procedures

2. To help the attendee gain confidence in comanaging these procedures

3. To provide knowledge in the medical and pharmacologic management of these surgical patients

4. To educate the attendee in which procedure may be best for each type of glaucoma patient

5. To provide the attendee with the knowledge to explain and communicate these procedures to their patients

6. To increase the attendee’s knowledge in the angle of the eye and in the importance of gonioscopy

7. To help the attendee learn when to surgically intervene in glaucoma in order to reduce risk of progression
